Step 1 — Create a PolyGram Account
Register at PolyGram
Navigate to polygram.ink. Click Sign Up. Enter your email and create a password. Verify your email address. Your account is immediately active for deposits under £500 equivalent per month (no KYC required for this tier).
Step 2 — Buy USDC on a UK Exchange
Purchase USDC on Coinbase UK
If you don't have a Coinbase UK account: create one at coinbase.com/en-gb (takes 5-15 minutes for basic verification). Add a debit card or bank account. Buy USDC — enter the GBP amount you want to convert. The GBP-to-USDC rate is approximately 1:1.26 (1 USDC ≈ £0.79 as USDC tracks USD/GBP).
Withdraw USDC to Polygon (not Ethereum)
In Coinbase: click Send/Receive → Send. Select USDC. Under network, choose Polygon (not Ethereum mainnet). Polygon fees are under £0.01; Ethereum fees are £5-30. Paste your PolyGram deposit address (from Step 1: Wallet → Deposit). Enter the USDC amount and confirm.
Step 3 — Fund Your PolyGram Account
Wait for confirmation (≈90 seconds)
Polygon blocks are produced every ~2 seconds. PolyGram requires 12 confirmations, which takes approximately 24 seconds. However, Coinbase's withdrawal queue typically takes 5-20 minutes before broadcasting your transaction. Once broadcast, check Polygonscan for confirmation. Your PolyGram balance updates automatically.
Step 4 — Find a Market
Browse or search markets
On PolyGram's homepage, markets are organised by category: Politics, Sports, Crypto, Economics, Entertainment. Use the search bar to find specific markets. Each market shows the current YES price (e.g., 0.67) and NO price (e.g., 0.33), real-time volume, and market resolution date.
Step 5 — Trade YES or NO
Place your order
Click on a market. Choose YES (you think the event will happen) or NO (you think it will not). Enter your stake in USDC. You can place a limit order (specify your price) or a market order (accept the current best price). Click Submit. Your order appears in Your Positions if filled, or Your Orders if pending.
Step 6 — Wait for Resolution
Hold your position until the market resolves
Markets resolve automatically when the real-world event occurs. PolyGram's oracle (UMA Protocol) verifies the outcome. If your shares win, USDC is credited to your account balance automatically. You can also exit early by selling your shares at the current market price before resolution.
Step 7 — Withdraw Your Winnings
Withdraw USDC and convert to GBP
In PolyGram: click Wallet → Withdraw. Enter the amount and your destination Polygon wallet address (e.g., your Coinbase UK Polygon address). Withdrawal processes within minutes. On Coinbase UK: sell USDC for GBP and withdraw to your bank account via Faster Payments (instant, £0 fee).
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sending USDC on the wrong network — always use Polygon, not Ethereum mainnet. Cross-chain USDC is permanently lost.
- Using a VPN to access Polymarket directly — violates ToS and risks account restrictions. Use PolyGram instead.
- Treating prediction markets as gambling — the best traders use them as probability estimation tools, not as bets on "gut feeling".
- Ignoring bid-ask spreads on thin markets — always check the order book depth before trading markets with under $10,000 total volume.
